About us

Studio 44 opened in January 2017 with one aim – to provide fun classes for babies, toddlers, children, and adults, catering for all abilities and levels of fitness.

We have a range of classes for everyone, We offer a fun and friendly environment, we love what we do, we love our studio and we hope you will too.

All our team share the same mission and that is:

What’s your role in the studio?

My role is the general day to day running of the studio. I organise events, plan the classes, teach the children.

What do you love most about the studio?

The family feel we have created. Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing children making new friends and welcoming new children.

Your most embarrassing moment?

Falling over on stage at the city hall with my legs in the air!!

One of your top goals in life?

To open a new studio.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

My first dancing job was in Skegness fantasy island!

What’s your role in the studio?

My purpose at Studio 44 is to bring happiness and smiles, whilst teaching children and adults to dance, in a safe, fun, friendly environment.

What you love most about the studio?

What I love most about the studio is the sense of belonging. That every child is respected and appreciated, and that time and consideration is taken into making the children the best they can be, whilst building confidence and performance.

What is your hometown?

Hasland, Chesterfield

Your biggest achievement?

My biggest achievement was completing my Dance Teachers and fully finding myself on the way to my dream – being able to teach children and adults how to dance, the way I’ve been taught, and to allow other children to achieve their dreams and goals through my teaching and guidance.

Your most embarrassing moment?

One of my most embarrassing moments was walking into a family party and falling over onto my bottom in front of everyone! One moment everyone always reminds me of!

One of your top goals in life?

My top goal in life is to become a fully qualified IDTA Examiner and visit other dance schools around the country examining all different types of versatile dancers showing off their different dance styles.

What is your favourite place in the world?

My favourite place and favourite Holiday in the whole world is Egypt. From visiting as a child and seeing all the amazing sights, it’s one place I love, and would want to go again very soon!

How would your friends describe you?

My friends would describe me as chatty, loud, confident and funny.

What is your favourite quote?

My favourite quote is ‘Life is short, eat desert first’

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Egypt.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

People would be surprised to know that I have a massive family and to be exact, I have 42 cousins! Family parties are always fun!

Your most embarrassing moment?

Cooking for the in-laws for the first time, went horribly wrong and had to order a takeaway, losing my purse and them having to pay.

What’s your purpose in the studio?

To help people to get out of pain & move more easily, through the use of Pilates

Throwing up in front of the guy I really fancied at the time!

To help more people get out of pain & keep moving, especially as they get older

Do sharks complain about Monday? NO! They are up early. Biting stuff. Chasing things. Being scary. Reminding everyone they’re a freaking shark!

My first full time job was in a circus that toured all over Mexico, as a dancer & magicians assistant

Zumba, Piloxing, Rockbox, Boogie Bounce, Boogie Bounce Strength & Tone, Boogie Bounce Bands and Dance fit instructor.

Everyone – Both instructors and participants are very friendly.

I once spent a year in a full body brace, in and out of hospital after falling down the stairs. Now I prefer to take the lift.
