Here’s a roundup of our exciting events and achievements from the past month.

A Special Visit from CBeebies!

Earlier this month, we had the honour of welcoming a film crew who filmed an episode for CBeebies! While we can’t share too much just yet, we’ll keep you updated on when the episode will air. This visit is a testament to how far we’ve come in such a short time, and we are incredibly proud to have been recommended by so many to host this special event.

Support for Our Young Stars!

In addition to the professional filming, Laura has been busy creating over 100 clips designed to support our children as they prepare for their exams. This is a significant investment in their growth, and we hope it will make a meaningful difference in their exam preparation each year.

Exciting NATD Exams Ahead!

Our Duckmanton branch is hard at work as they prepare for their first NATD exams. The children and teachers have been putting in a tremendous amount of effort. A big thank you to Eleanor, based at our Alfreton studio, who stepped in to help one of our groups during this crucial time!

Show Material at Our Alfreton Branch

Meanwhile, our Alfreton branch is diligently rehearsing show material, and we’re thrilled to see costumes and props arriving daily! We can’t wait for parents and guardians to experience the fantastic performances—One Night, One Moment tickets are available for purchase here.

Growing Our Team!

In the coming weeks, we will be conducting interviews to bring more teachers onto our team, allowing us to introduce even more exciting classes to our timetable. Stay tuned for updates!

Additionally, we are looking for volunteers who may be interested in progressing to a teaching capacity. This opportunity is ideal for school leavers or our older students who would like to assist in classes as junior assistants. If you’re interested, please speak with Emma.

A special thanks to Laura and Eleanor, who have recently taken on extra classes during their days off. Your dedication and hard work are greatly appreciated! Laura and Eleanor are also working on some exciting projects behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

New Opportunities for Our Young Performers!

As we look to keep challenging our children, we will be introducing troupe classes and competition opportunities next year at both our Alfreton and Duckmanton branches. These classes will not be part of the recreational timetable and will be additional. Ava has been a guinea pig for testing a recent competition alongside Emma and Laura as they start to work out the logistics of how this will fit into the timetable and what is needed to prepare the children. These classes will be by invitation only and will require a high level of commitment from both children and parents.

Halloween Fun at Our Boogie Bounce Parties!

Our Halloween Boogie Bounce Parties have been a huge hit at both our Duckmanton and Alfreton branches! We’ve seen plenty of spooky costumes and active children enjoying themselves.

October Half-Term Halloween Special

The October Half-Term Halloween Special was a fantastic day filled with activities where children made new friends while engaging in problem-solving, team-building, bracelet making, pumpkin designs, and carving their own pumpkins. The day concluded with some lively Boogie Bounce!

Growing Dynamics Martial Arts!

Our Dynamics Martial Arts program continues to grow, with only a few spaces left in our Little Ninjas group. Next month, we’re excited to launch our family class alongside our Little Ninjas and kids classes, making it even easier for families to get involved together!

Dates for the Diary

• 9th December: Enrolment reopens at both branches
• 9th – 14th December: Bring a Friend Week at both branches
• 14th December: Movie Night (4 PM – 6 PM) at both branches
• 21st December: Christmas Party (2 PM – 4 PM) at both branches
• 23rd December – 5th January: DDC & DMA closed for Christmas at both branches
• 6th January 2025: All classes restart at both branches

Alfreton Branch Specifics:

• 15th November: DDC (both Friday classes will work in Studio 3)
• 15th November: Waiting room will be out of use
• 23rd November: DDC Show Rehearsal at David Neiper School (10 AM – 4 PM)
• 30th November: DDC Show at David Neiper
• 7th December: No Saturday classes as the studio is used for Duckmanton branch exams
• 4th January 2025: DDC Saturday class make-up session from 7th December

Duckmanton Branch Specifics:

• 21st November: Exam rehearsal from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM at our Alfreton Studio to give children a chance to familiarise themselves with the studio and layout in preparation for exams (see class timetable on notice board)
• 24th November: Exam rehearsal from 9 AM – 4:30 PM at our Alfreton Studio to give children a chance to familiarise themselves with the studio and layout in preparation for exams (see class timetable on notice board)
• 7th and 8th December: NATD Exams at the Alfreton Studio
